Hello my name is Brad Medlin, age 21, and my father James Medlin, age 42, has been dealing with Chronic Obstuctive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) for the last 8 years of his life. Just recently him and his wife just had my baby sister Jenna, in July of 2007. My father's condition is worsening and in need of surgery. Now, the doctors said that my father ended up with the short straw, never smoking in his life but still ending up with COPD. He has tried brochodilators, inhaled glucocorticosteriods, and has gone through pulmonary rehabilitation. In the last year he has had one surgery, a bullectomy, and yet none of that has worked. The doctors say that this one last surgery should make the symptoms subside and he will be able to live a normal life and watch his daughter grow. My father will be receiving a lung transplant that is scheduled for July 24th, 2009 and on this site I am just looking for anyone and everyone who could help. Anything will help, we have taken out loans, gotten donations from local businesses, and tried everything and still come up short. Please anything will help. If you are unable to help please just keep my father in your prayers.
